Schedule and publish to Snapchat

Schedule vertical videos to your Snapchat public profile next to your other networks. Post a Story that stays up to a week, or a Spotlight with a description and hashtags, and SPREVA follows it through Snapchat's review.

What you can publish

  • Stories

One vertical video on your public Story, up for a day, two days, three days or a week. Stories carry no caption, so any text goes inside the video.

  • Spotlight

One vertical video for Spotlight, with a description of up to 160 characters and hashtags. Snapchat reviews it before it goes live.

What SPREVA checks before it publishes

Every post is checked against these limits for each Snapchat account you picked, in the editor and again right before it goes out, so a problem shows up while you can still fix it.

Text
160 characters on a Spotlight, hashtags included; a Story shows no text
Video
One vertical video per post, at least 540x960 pixels
Video length
Stories from 5 to 60 seconds, Spotlight from 6 to 60 seconds
Video size
1,024 MB

Checked against SPREVA and Snapchat's documentation: September 2026.

How connecting works

You sign in with Snapchat and approve SPREVA there. SPREVA publishes to the public profile of that Snapchat account: its Stories and Spotlight.

SPREVA never sees your Snapchat password. Access renews on its own, and if Snapchat stops accepting it, the account is marked for reconnecting and your other accounts keep publishing.

What SPREVA adds

  • How long a Story stays up

Keep a Story on your profile for a day, two days, three days or a week.

  • Spotlight review, followed

Snapchat reviews every Spotlight before it goes live. SPREVA shows it as under review until then, so you always know where it stands.

  • Delete a Spotlight from SPREVA

Take a Spotlight down from SPREVA without opening Snapchat. Deleting it removes it from Snapchat for good.

  • No double posts after a timeout

If Snapchat's answer gets lost on the way back, SPREVA checks your profile before trying again, so a retry does not publish it twice.

And as on every network: its own text for any account, an approximate preview, publishing now, on a date or through a queue, a retry for only the accounts that failed, and each post's numbers read back into Analytics.

Questions about Snapchat

Can I schedule Snapchat Stories and Spotlight videos?

Yes. Choose Story or Spotlight for the Snapchat account, then publish now, pick a date or add the video to a queue. SPREVA posts it to your public profile when the time comes.

Which Snapchat accounts can SPREVA publish to?

A Snapchat public profile. Sign in with the Snapchat account that has one, and SPREVA publishes to its Stories and to Spotlight.

When does my Spotlight go live?

Once Snapchat has reviewed it. Until then SPREVA shows the Spotlight as under review, so you know where it stands.

Can a Snapchat Story have a caption?

No. Stories carry no caption, so any text belongs inside the video. If you wrote one, SPREVA tells you before you publish that Snapchat will not show it, and the text still goes to your other accounts.

Can I post photos to Snapchat?

No. SPREVA publishes videos to Snapchat, one per Story or Spotlight. It tells you before you publish, and the photos can still go to your other accounts.

Can I see how my Snapchat posts perform?

Yes. SPREVA reads each post's numbers back into Analytics as Snapchat reports them: views, viewers, shares, favourites, screenshots, view time and subscribers gained.

Can Claude or ChatGPT publish to Snapchat for me?

Yes. Connect your Snapchat account in SPREVA, then connect Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini or another AI agent to SPREVA with one address. Ask in plain words and it writes the post, SPREVA checks it against Snapchat's rules, and anything that would go out right away is shown to you first. Your agent never receives your Snapchat password or access. See what an agent can do in SPREVA, or set yours up.
