How to turn one blog post into a week of social media posts
A good blog post takes a day to write and gets one announcement: "New on the blog", a link, and silence. Inside it there are five or six things worth saying on their own. This is how to find them, turn each into a post shaped for its network, and let a week of posts send readers back to the article.

The short version
Read the article again and pull out five ideas that stand on their own: the main point, a number, a quote, a step, a question it answers. Write one post for each, with the link to the article. Adapt each post per network, the one-liner for X and the paragraph for LinkedIn, and add the five to a queue so one goes out each day.
Five posts inside one article
Each of these makes a post that works without the article, and makes people want it:
- The main point, said in one sentence, as if to someone who will never click.
- A number or a finding, with what it means.
- A quote: the line from the article you would underline.
- A step or a checklist people can use today.
- The question it answers, asked the way your readers ask it.
One idea, shaped for each network
The idea stays; the shape changes. SPREVA puts the link where each network expects it:
| Network | Shape | The link |
|---|---|---|
| X | One line, the sharpest version | Added at the end of the text |
| The lesson in a short paragraph | An article card when the post has no image | |
| Threads and Bluesky | A short take, as you would say it | A link card when the post has no image |
| The summary, for people who know you | A link preview when the post has no image | |
| A carousel of the key points | Not clickable in a caption: point to it in words |
In SPREVA, step by step
- 1
Start from the article. With SPREVA's Chrome extension, share the page: a draft opens with its title and link. Or press New, choose Post and paste them.
- 2
Write the first idea in your words. Or press Write with AI, paste the idea as the brief, and pick one of three versions; the assistant never adds facts that are not in your text.
- 3
Put the article's address in Link, under Advanced, so each network shows it its own way.
- 4
Adapt it per network under Per account, by hand or with Adapt for and the account's name, which fits it to that network's length.
- 5
Add it to a queue, then do the same for the other four ideas. The queue gives each its own day.
Or ask your AI agent
If you use Claude, ChatGPT or another AI agent connected to SPREVA, paste the article into the chat and ask for the week. The agent writes the posts, gives each network its own text, and saves them to your queue, where you can read every one before it goes out:
Here is my new blog post. Find the five ideas in it that work on their own, write one post for each with the link to the article, give X, LinkedIn and Bluesky their own version, and add the five to my queue, one a day.
So it does not feel recycled
Five posts about one article can read like five reminders. They do not have to:
- Lead with the idea, never with "New on the blog".
- One idea per post. Each should be worth reading even if nobody clicks.
- Change the form: a number on Monday, a question on Wednesday, a quote on Friday.
- Space them out, and mix them with posts about other things.
Which idea brought readers
Put the five posts in a campaign named after the article. In Analytics, filter by that campaign to see the clicks and the reach of each, and look at Best content to see which kind of idea brings people to the article. Write the next article's posts with that in mind.
Start with your last article
Take the last post on your blog, find its five ideas, and queue them for next week. Every plan starts with a 7-day trial. A Chrome extension that turns any page, text or image into a post.
Questions
Can SPREVA read my article from its link?
No. Share the page with the Chrome extension to start a draft with its title and link, and paste the ideas yourself. An AI agent connected to SPREVA can work from the article you paste into its chat.
How many posts should one article become?
As many as it has ideas that stand on their own: usually three to six. Fewer, better posts beat a week of the same link.
Can each network get different text?
Yes. Under Per account, each account can keep the main text or have its own, with a counter for that network's limit.
How do I share an article on Instagram?
Instagram does not make links in captions clickable. Make a carousel of the article's key points and say in the caption where to find the article.
Can I do this with old articles?
Yes, and the best ones deserve it: an article that still answers a real question can feed a queue months after it was written.
