Social media for YouTubers: grow your channel from every other network
A YouTube video takes days to make and gets most of its views in the first week. Most channels then post it once and start on the next. This is how to make every video work for a whole week: the upload scheduled properly, Shorts cut from it, and each piece sent to the networks where new viewers find you.

The short version
Schedule the upload with its title, description, thumbnail and privacy, for the time your audience is around. Cut four Shorts from the video and post one a day to YouTube Shorts, TikTok and Instagram Reels. Announce the video on X, Threads and your Discord the moment it is up. In SPREVA, all of that is one upload, one page of clips and a queue.
Where each piece goes
One long video feeds every network, each in its own shape:
| Where | What to post | Why |
|---|---|---|
| YouTube | The long video, scheduled with its title and thumbnail | Where your subscribers watch, and where the watch time counts |
| Shorts, TikTok, Reels | Four vertical clips from the video, one a day | Where people who have never heard of you find you |
| X, Threads, Bluesky | The announcement, with a line from the video and the link | Where your regulars see it is out |
| Discord | The new video, to your community's announcement channel | Where your most loyal viewers already are |
A week from one video
A rhythm that keeps the video in front of people after its first day:
- Upload day: the video goes up at its time, and the announcement goes out on X, Threads and Discord.
- Day two: the strongest Short, to YouTube Shorts, TikTok and Reels.
- Day three: a Short with the best tip or answer from the video.
- Day four: a Short with the moment people will argue about.
- Day five: one more Short, and a reminder of the full video for anyone who missed it.
Scheduling the upload properly
- 1
Press New, choose Post, then Video Post, pick your channel and add the video.
- 2
Write the Title, up to 100 characters, and the description, with timestamps if you want chapters.
- 3
Choose a Custom thumbnail from your library, a JPEG or PNG of up to 2 MB.
- 4
Set Privacy to public, and turn on Label as AI-generated if the video was made or changed with AI.
- 5
Schedule it for the hour your audience is around. SPREVA uploads it then, and follows it until YouTube has processed it. How to schedule YouTube videos, with the title, thumbnail and privacy set.
Shorts from the long video
With Clips from a video, in Studio, ask for up to 10 moments and say what to look for. SPREVA finds them, cuts each on whole sentences into a 9:16 clip with captions and a hook, and keeps each one as a project you can still change. Export them, and they are ready to post.
A vertical clip of three minutes or less becomes a Short on YouTube by itself. Send the same clip to TikTok and Reels in the same post, with its own caption for each, and point to the full video in the text. How to schedule YouTube Shorts, and what makes a video a Short.
What makes a Short bring viewers back
A Short is an invitation to the long video, not a summary of it:
- Start on the line, not the run-up. The first two seconds decide whether anyone stays.
- Leave the payoff in the video. Show the question, the problem or the setup; the answer is one click away.
- Name the video in the caption, so a viewer who liked the clip knows where to go next.
What to watch
SPREVA brings back each video's views, likes and comments and, where YouTube shares them, watch time, shares and engaged views, with your subscribers. In Analytics, look at Best content each week to see which kind of Short brings viewers, and compare the weeks you posted Shorts with the weeks you did not.

Questions
Does SPREVA upload straight to my channel?
Yes. Connect your channel once, and SPREVA uploads at the time you set, with the title, description, thumbnail and privacy you chose.
Can I add chapters?
YouTube makes chapters from timestamps in the description, so write them there before you schedule.
Is there a size limit?
Each video can be up to 1 GB. For a longer video in high resolution, upload it to YouTube directly and use SPREVA for the Shorts and the posts around it.
Can I set playlists or end screens?
Not from SPREVA. Set them in YouTube Studio once the video is up.
Which plan do I need?
Scheduling to YouTube works on every plan. Clips from a video, scripts and Studio come with Pro and Business.
