Can Grok post to your social media? Yes, once SPREVA is connected
Ask Grok to post something and, on its own, it can only write the words. Add SPREVA as a connector and the same conversation can find your photos, schedule the post on 31 networks and tell you how last week went. This is the setup on grok.com and in Grok Build, and the rules that keep it from doing anything you did not mean.

The short answer
Yes. On grok.com, add SPREVA as a custom connector, sign in to SPREVA and choose the workspace. From then on Grok can use SPREVA's 25 tools: find your media, write and schedule posts for each account, publish, and read the results. Grok never sees your passwords, and by default publishing right now and spending AI credits ask you first.
Connecting Grok on grok.com
It takes a minute, once:
- 1
On grok.com, open Connectors, click New Connector and choose Custom.
- 2
Paste SPREVA's connector address:
URL https://app.spreva.ai/api/mcp - 3
SPREVA opens: sign in, choose the workspace and click Allow.
- 4
Back in Grok, ask what is going out this week. Grok asks SPREVA and answers with your next posts and anything that needs attention.
Connecting Grok Build, in the terminal
Grok Build, xAI's coding agent, connects from the terminal:
- 1
Add SPREVA for every project:
Terminal grok mcp add --transport http spreva https://app.spreva.ai/api/mcp - 2
Start Grok Build and ask for something in SPREVA. The first time, your browser opens SPREVA: sign in, choose the workspace and click Allow.
- 3
If something looks wrong, check the connection:
Terminal grok mcp doctor spreva
Grok Build is in beta for SuperGrok and X Premium+. The full setup, with an API key instead of a sign-in.
What Grok can do in SPREVA
Grok works through the same tools as every other agent connected to SPREVA:
- Find your photos and videos by what they show, and your posts, campaigns and queues.
- Write and schedule posts for each account, each with its own text, at a time or through a queue.
- Publish right away, or delete a post, when you allow it.
- Read the numbers of your posts and accounts, and compare weeks.
- Make and edit videos in Studio, from a script, from photos, or as clips from a long recording, on Pro and Business.
What to ask
Talk to it as you would to someone who runs your accounts:
Find the three best photos from Saturday's market and schedule one post with them on Instagram and LinkedIn for Friday at 9am, with a caption for each. Show me the captions first.
Grok searches your library by what each photo shows, writes a caption per network and shows them to you before it schedules anything. Then, at the end of the month:
How did our posts do this month compared to last month? Which network grew, and which post did best?
The answer comes from the numbers each network reports to SPREVA, so the next request can start from what worked.
The rules that keep it in line
An agent that can publish needs limits you can trust without watching it:
- Grok never sees your passwords. Each network is connected in SPREVA, through that network's own sign-in.
- Each kind of action has a rule: Allow, Ask first or Needs approval. By default, drafts and scheduling an hour or more ahead go through; publishing right now, deleting a published post and spending AI credits ask first.
- It can only do what your role allows in the workspace you chose when you connected it.
- SPREVA decides, not Grok. Every action is checked against your rules on SPREVA's side, so an agent cannot talk its way past them. How to set an agent's rules.
Connect it in a minute
Connect one account to SPREVA, add the connector in Grok and ask for this week's overview. Connectors work on every plan, and every plan starts with a 7-day trial with 300 AI credits.
Questions
Does Grok post to X differently from other networks?
No. X is one of the 31 networks, connected in SPREVA like the others, and Grok uses the same tools for all of them.
Can Grok post without asking me?
Only what your rules allow. By default it saves drafts and schedules posts an hour or more ahead on its own, and asks before it publishes right now or spends AI credits. Each workspace sets its own rules.
Which plan do I need?
Connectors work on Starter, Pro and Business. The Studio tools, which make and edit videos, need Pro or Business.
Does the same setup work with other assistants?
Yes. The same address works in ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and any assistant that supports MCP connectors; 17 of them have a setup page. Find yours.
There is no Custom connector option in Grok. Why?
On Grok Business and Enterprise, a team admin provisions connectors. Ask your admin to add SPREVA, then sign in as above.
